We struggle together against memory loss
On the occasion of the world day of Alzheimer's that is celebrated on September 21, the ANIA Association (www.aniasocial.org) and VITALIA (www.vitalia.es), with the collaboration of ATENEM (www.atenem.com), we have organised an event to disseminate and raise awareness of the disease, to fight together against memory loss.
For this reason, we invite you to join the party: "CHOCOLATE X Alzheimer', which will take place a day earlier, on Saturday, September 20, from 17:30 to 20:00, in the center of day VITALIA SARRIA (C/Osi, 13-15, 08034)." To confirm you can call Phone ATENEM 93 595 15 17.
A study by Mount Sinai and published the July 2014 to the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease suggests that a certain cocoa extract prevents the accumulation of the protein beta-amyloid in the brain. This protein impairs communication between neurons and produce of Alzheimer's disease.
Chocolate is rich in polyphenols, antioxidants that seem to have a protective effect against degenerative diseases of the brain. Due to the fact that the alterations that cause Alzheimer's disease in the brain begin many years before the first symptoms, the Mount Sinai study, it suggests that an adequate amount of cocoa polyphenols could help prevent disease (article extracted from VITALIA SARRIA).
